Had to blog this cover separately because I love it so. For some reason, this makes me want to write a pulpy, smutty, good girls gone bad prison drama with steamy girl on girl action and a torrid affair with the smitten prison guard. No? Just me? Okay, nevermind. XD Not sure where the red dress would fit in anyway. Oh! The perverted warden smuggled it in because of their fetish for prom gowns and forced poor Clio to wear and dance to 80s pop music! That’s why Chance is looking on in horror.
Hi folks! It’s Friday (technically), and so it’s time for our first March update!
In honor of Gauntlet heading for the home stretch (just a few more chapters to go!), it has an amazing spot on our cover this month, art courtesy Romy-chan, who totally nailed it with this one. You show ‘em,…
I love this cover! Guest art by Romy-chan! Clio looks like she can kick some ass! <3 You can read all the back chapters of Gauntlet for free for the next two weeks, by the way! I hope you do! :)
This is a page from the comic I’m working on with Devin Leigh Michaels for her Capitalism and Other Stories Anthology.
The Anthology is currently fundraising. Take a look for more preview pages and donate if you can!
Remember if the Kickstarter meets it’s goal not only do you get a kickass anthology to read, but all of us artists get paid to finish said kickass anthology! This Kickstarter is to raise $ to pay the production cost of the whole project! :D
Here’s a link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1986429142/capitalism-and-other-stories
Thanks for taking a look! I’ll draw more Spiderman in a metal Bikini like I did for @GailSimone if you donate or spread the word! :P
Spiderman in a bikini is a pretty good incentive. XD
Introducing Capitalism and Other Stories, a comic anthology of wonder, fantasy, and science fiction.
Art by the amazing Joel Ferris, Shannon Fowler, Sarah “Neila” Elkins, Mau Vargas, and Rodrigo Tobias; letters and production by Mike Stock; edits by Erin Meier and Ellery Prime; plot and dialogue by Devin L. Michaels
LIVE NOW! Watch the video. Read the story. Back (if you can). If not, please spread the word!
Capitalism and Other Stories with Syphons, Dragons, and Time Travelers.
What are you willing to sell?
We are over the first $100! Whoo!
Check out this sci-fi/fantasy comic anthology written by my friend Dev, and swing by her kickstarter page to see the cool incentives she’s offering to backers!
I swear Dev’s days are ten times longer than mine or yours because she gets SO MUCH DONE with her time. I wish I was even half as productive as she is. Her comic, Destiny’s Fate, does deal with time travel, so maybe she’s got some secrets she’s not sharing.
kyaa!!!pink gold 4 !!!!!! 28/04 !
New VF chapter tomorrow, and this to look forward to as well! <3
Title: You’re my Loveprayer in the Abyss
Pairings: Asami x Akihito, Yoh x Feilong, Sakazaki x Sudou
Warnings: Sex, violence and dubious consent, graphic rape in second chapter.
Spoilers: Pray in Abyss 9, Finder no Rakuin
Disclaimer: You’re my Loveprize in Viewfinder and Ikoku Irokoi Romantan belong to Ayano Yamane.
"Did you think that I would approve of this?"
Asami’s jaw clenched, the words barely edging past his teeth and Akihito’s eyes narrowed in response, some of his usual self coming back for a moment.
"It was important."
"Nothing is so important!"
"You are!" Akihito all but screamed. Shoulders slumping, his head dropped in defeat; losing his battle against the tears for the second time that night, his voice came out just above a whisper.
Author’s Note: This fanfiction was inspired by sunflower1343. It takes place immediately after Pray in Abyss 9 (and some time after Finder no Rakuin) and will follow it’s own course as a potential continuation for the story, while staying true to the tone of the source material. It will be dark, violent and highly sexual. You have been warned.
Chapter 7 illustration by teaat2am!
It’s Friday, kids, which not only means that it’s the start of the weekend (after a week that seemed incredibly short, thanks to a US holiday on Monday, but whatever), but it means that we’ve got a new update at Sparkler for you all!
Presenting the second part of our Gauntlet double-feature…
Part 2 (Chapter 7) of this month’s Gauntlet is up! Also, chapter 6 is out from behind the payroll right now.
The only software I can think of is Manga Studio.. For a youngster, MS Debut would probably the way to go - message me if you want more info
Anyone have any recs for easy to use software for comics creation? Can be free or not, but something not overly complicated for someone around 9-10? Thanks!
Now I have the SNL “making copies” sketch in my head, except they’re saying “making comics” instead.
Lots going down. “Dragon Slobber” is getting some words (Thanks, Mike!). “Capitalism” is getting a splash of color (Yay, Joel!). “To Ride a Cloud” is getting some ink (Boo yah, Sarah!), and Rodrigo, the colorist on Destiny’s Fate, is mixing the video. Here’s a sneak peek at the first page of “Dragon Slobber,” and check out Facebook page and Twitter for more updates on the upcoming Kickstarter!
Hemingway makes your writing bold and clear.
Basically the coolest little tool to have as a writer.
Obscenely cool. This can be a great learning tool for you if you struggle with changing passive voice to active, are overly fond of long, flowery words, or want to get better at using strong language (by which I mean descriptors, not swearing).
Give it a shot!
i put a bunch of my stuff into this and so far i’ve learned that
1) i don’t use nearly as many adverbs as i thought i did, and i also fall well below the recommended amount
2) only a fraction of my sentences are deemed difficult or too hard to read
3) i don’t use the passive voice a lot and i don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing
4) i also don’t litter my stuff with complicated words
BUT i’m not sure i should be offended or not that my stuff consistently grades 5 for reading
So funny! I always read Hemingway when I feel like my long-winded crap is running amok.
