Making art is hard work.
Several years ago I took a really fun class where the teacher said we weren’t allowed to make disclaimers about our work. “My dog died right before I wrote this. I’m not happy with…because reasons. This didn’t come out like I had planned. Etc.” The only thing we were allowed to say right before we read anything out loud was: “This is shit.”
But it cut down a lot on the self-deprecation!
Paranormal investigations can often be intrusive to the dead. Especially when they are having sexy time.
When you are alone at night and hear noises, relax. It’s just ghosts boffing.
I just stumbled across the Scorpian [sic] Vajazzle when I was looking for body glue for a Halloween costume. Just thought I’d throw it out to any of you who might be considering options for bedazzling your…vajazzable area. It only comes in pink, so I hope that’s your color. XD
Note: And no, this won’t be part of my costume.
Sometimes you just gotta strut!
The eBook is out! The bonus comics star August, and T2A did an awesome work on them. *snickers* <-That’s August I’m snickering at, btw. The short story packaged with it is Britt-centered! :)

S/Nick: Then I’ll just put it on Facebook and Twitter. *runs to computer* SENT!
Me as Black Widow: Suck it up, Dick.
I’m running a little giveaway on my Tumblr!
Sparkler Monthly is doing its Year 2 Membership Drive. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you should. Trust me, they’re filling a niche and a need that nobody else is in the English-language market, and it’s female gaze oriented/fem-positive! They’ve delivered awesome diversity in stories, characters, and content. And they are the cat’s meow when it comes to supporting and promoting indie creators.
I want to see what else they have in store for us (like a gaming department!), and that means supporting them by subscribing to one of their membership plans (Monthly, Yearly, VIP), and by generating word of mouth buzz about Sparkler Monthly.
So my giveway is this:
Everyone who reblogs this post before 8/30/14 will be entered in a drawing to win one of the following items.
- A Year+ Membership ($50 value) to Sparkler Monthly. This 12 month membership will include a free ebook from the Sparkler shop!
- One month trial membership (Five of these will be given away.)
Winners will be chosen through random.org on September 1st, 2014 and notified that day.
You can use the membership or trial month yourself or gift it to another to share the Sparkler Monthly love!
I can’t say enough good things about the Sparkler team. They’ve been supportive and fun to work with the whole way, and I want to see them stay around for a long time. Thanks for helping spread the word!
P.S. Check out the free Year 1 sampler.
I have the hottest dentist ever. He’s tall, dark, devastatingly handsome (Looks kind of like Chance from Gauntlet.), and he has the sexiest voice in the world. He’s also super nice. At my appointment today, he told me he was on the swim team in high school. I’m, like, thinking, don’t make me think pervy thoughts while you’re putting things into my wide open mouth! XD

I love point and click browser escape games, especially of the surreal and sorta creepy type with cool artwork and music. Nekra Psaria is right up my alley. Short and atmospheric and pretty intuitive. It’s an amuse bouche of a game, and I hope the creator gives us more soon.
Sort of belated update? It’s our girliest cover yet, courtesy of the fabulous Jamie Lynn Lano, who I got to meet at San Diego Comicon last week!
Anyway, Sparkler Year 2, Issue 1 launches August 4th—as of this month, we are switching from weekly Friday updates to one monthly update (just like a real magazine!), on the first Monday of the month—so you’ll get all your regular Sparkler goodness then. Including the first chapter of Jen Quick’s new series!!
In the meantime, we hope you enjoy (and share!) a special Year 1 sampler issue, compiling the FREE first chapters of all our multi-part series. You can read them all on the site here, or download a PDF of all of them here! 300-plus pages of original, girl-oriented comics and prose, all for you!
Thanks for an amazing first year!
